In recent years, requirements for the corrosion resistance of metal parts have become increasingly demanding.

Various metals, including aluminum, are required to pass severe tests such as long-duration salt spray testing, which is a common corrosion-resistance requirement for automotive components. How can metal corrosion be prevented without relying on costly and time-consuming new material development, zinc plating, or hazardous chemicals?

To protect products from corrosion caused by external influences, pretreatment of the sealing surface and barrier coating are key factors.

One technology that has seen growing adoption worldwide in recent years is AntiCorr®, a corrosion-protection nano-coating technology based on atmospheric-pressure plasma. It is being used for corrosion protection in automotive parts such as power steering pumps and engine pumps, as well as in PCB assembly, ECU housings, and LED manufacturing.

In this webinar, we will explain the mechanisms of Openair-Plasma®, Plasmatreat’s atmospheric-pressure plasma technology, and PlasmaPlus®, the functional nano-coating technology based on it. We will then focus on AntiCorr®, introducing its corrosion-protection mechanism and key benefits.

We will also explain how plasma can optimize production processes and support highly durable and reliable manufacturing. In addition, we will present actual examples of AntiCorr® in mass-production lines and discuss its potential for corrosion-protection coatings on metals such as magnesium, where future application is expected.
