Located in Hayward, CA, our flagship laboratory spans over 15,000 square feet, offering a premier environment for a wide range of testing and material characterization needs. With an extensive array of atmospheric and low-pressure plasma systems, along with a comprehensive selection of advanced test and material characterization equipment, our Hayward lab sets the standard for our operations.
Our lab in Elgin, IL provides additional comprehensive lab services that reflect the same high standards and capabilities as our flagship Hayward lab. This location allows us to serve clients in the Midwest and surrounding regions with the same commitment to excellence.
Our Elgin location is equipped with a linear table and four jets, as well as instrumentation for water contact angle measurements, the Elgin lab delivers versatile testing options for composites, plastics, metals, glass, ceramics, and more.

Test Methods
Material characterization is the process of analyzing and measuring the properties and structure of materials to understand their composition, quality, and behavior under various conditions. This process helps scientists, engineers, and manufacturers evaluate materials for specific applications, ensure quality, and troubleshoot issues. Our test methods include:
- Surface Energy – For wettability, adhesion properties, and the material’s ability to bond with coatings, adhesives, or paints
- Mechanical Testing – To understand a material’s physical properties and performance under different forces or conditions
- Oleophobicity – For measuring how well surfaces repel oils and ensures coatings or treatments perform as expected. Very important for electronics, automotive, aerospace and more.
- Salt Spray Chamber – Used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of coatings such as AntiCorr®, the salt spray chamber exposes treated and untreated samples to a controlled, accelerated corrosive environment.
