This webinar focuses on the principles, effects, and key features of Openair-Plasma® and PlasmaPlus®, Plasmatreat’s surface treatment technologies.

Since 1995, when Plasmatreat became the first company in the world to introduce atmospheric-pressure plasma surface treatment technology into mass production, the range of applications and use cases for this technology has continued to expand.

As demands for higher quality and greater functionality in industrial products continue to increase, the growing use of dissimilar material combinations and composite materials has accelerated material diversification. As a result, improving adhesion and coating performance, as well as preventing delamination, has become increasingly important. Under these conditions, enhancing the quality and reliability of bonding and joining areas has become an essential challenge in manufacturing.

At the same time, although many people are aware of the importance of surface treatment and have heard about atmospheric-pressure plasma, we also receive many requests from those who would like to revisit the distinctive features of Plasmatreat’s atmospheric-pressure plasma technology in more detail.

In this webinar, we will therefore revisit several key topics that have been introduced in previous webinars and explain them in greater technical depth, supported by data, references to published papers, and comparisons with other surface treatment technologies. We will also present function-specific data for different precursors used in PlasmaPlus®, Plasmatreat’s functional coating technology based on atmospheric-pressure plasma.
