Nihon Plasmatreat will be exhibiting at Automotive Engineering Exposition 2024 YOKOHAMA. This year’s theme is “Carbon Neutrality and Beyond: Toward a Circular Society.”

Today, we are facing what is known as the triple planetary crisis: climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource waste. It is a time when we are once again reminded that the Earth’s resources are finite.

In recent years, many countries and regions, including Japan, have accelerated efforts toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 while also working toward a sustainable society through broader structural transformation. We believe that the keys to this transformation are co-creation and circularity.

A shift is required from the conventional linear model of resource extraction, production, and disposal to a circular society represented by the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle, and renewable. Realizing such a circular system is not simply a matter of recycling waste. It also requires each of us to adopt a new sense of responsibility in how we make and use products.

To promote decarbonization while looking at the entire lifecycle of the automobile, it is essential to question what has long been taken for granted, to view challenges from new perspectives, and to take on them through co-creation with new partners.

Automotive Engineering Exposition 2024 is intended as a place where everyone involved in mobility can come together, ask what kinds of technologies can contribute to the well-being of both people and the planet, and work with others to build new value chains.
